Stunning vintage circa 1930s era Art Deco 14k white gold natural diamond and synthetic sapphire shield ring! This amazing Art Deco shield ring features beautiful intricate filigree and a sparkling round diamond in the center. The shield is accented with two triangle faceted synthetic sapphires on either side of the center, vertically. There is gorgeous intricate floral filigree, and the ring is further accented by engraved wheat and milgrain designs on the shoulders and down the shank. A timeless piece of intricate fine vintage jewelry, from the 1930's!

ERA - Circa 1930s, Art Deco

METAL / MATERIAL - 14k white gold, 1 natural round single cut diamond (approx. .01 CT, I color and SI2 clarity), two triangle faceted synthetic sapphires (approx. 2.5 x 2.0 mm each)

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of ring is stamped, "BELAIS 14K". In 1917, David Belais of Belais Brothers acquired a patent for white gold. The Belais alloy was extremely popular; During the 1920s, white gold was sometimes referred to as “Belais metal.” Belais jewelry is highly collectible & sought after, because their company is considered to be the first to use white gold in the U.S. Their pieces are like owning a piece of jewelry history!

CONDITION - Good vintage condition. Ring has been professionally cleaned, refurbished, and polished. Natural diamond & synthetic sapphires are secure. Filigree is intact. Very minimal age consistent patina and wear remain. Amazing vintage shield ring!
