METAL / MATERIAL - 14k yellow gold, natural round brilliant cut diamond (approx. .17 ct, H color, I2 clarity)
MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of shank is marked "OB 14k". Ostby (Co-owner of company) was a first class passenger on the Titanic & was among one of the 1,500 passengers who perished during the tragic iceberg collision. The company was established 1879 in Providence, Rhode Island. At it's time, it was considered one of the leading producers of fine jewelry. The company ceased production in the 1950s. Ostby & Barton jewelry is highly desired by collectors of fine antique jewelry for its beautiful workmanship & historical significance.
CONDITION - Good antique condition. Gold metal has been professionally polished & cleaned. Diamond is secure with age appropriate surface wear. Amazing antique solitaire ring!
