Amazing vintage circa 1930s Art Deco era 14k white gold genuine rock crystal quartz ring! This incredible vintage ring features a stunning coffin-shaped rock crystal quartz gemstone that has a natural .02 carat diamond in the center in a floral shaped setting. A strip of dyed dark greenish blue magnesite runs diagonally across the stone. The white gold setting has beautiful intricate lacy filigree and milgrain details. A phenomenal and rare piece of fine Art Deco era jewelry, signed by Ostby & Barton!

ERA - Circa 1930s - Art Deco

METAL / MATERIAL - 14k white gold, natural rock crystal quartz, gemstone strip - appears to be dyed magnesite (though full gemological testing is limited) , natural round single cut diamond (approx. .02 ct, I color, SI2 clarity due to chip)

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of band is marked "OB 14K" with a Maltese cross for Ostby & Barton. Ostby (Co-owner of company) was a first class passenger on the Titanic & was among one of the 1,500 passengers who perished during the tragic iceberg collision.The company was established 1879 in Providence, Rhode Island. At it's time, it was considered one of the leading producers of fine jewelry. The company ceased production in the 1950s. Ostby & Barton jewelry is highly desired by collectors of fine antique jewelry for its beautiful workmanship & historical significance.

CONDITION - Good vintage condition. White gold metal has been professionally cleaned. Genuine rock crystal quartz and diamond are secure - diamond has a chip. Age appropriate patina & wear remains. Amazing Art Deco era ring!
