This incredible statement ring features a flat top natural black chalcedony (commonly known as onyx) cabochon marquise that is surrounded by a halo of natural round brilliant cut diamonds. The yellow gold band is a tapered style, with linear groove detailing for a statement look. A stunning piece of alternative gemstone and diamond jewelry, circa 1970s!

METAL / MATERIAL - 14k yellow and white gold, natural black chalcedony (onyx), 28 natural round brilliant cut diamonds (approx. .48 CTW, H color, I1 clarity)

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of band is marked '14KP' with an ALA maker's mark and copywright symbol, for ALA Casting Co., which was one of the largest jewelry casting and findings manufacturers in the United States.

CONDITION - Very good vintage condition. Ring has been cleaned. Natural gems are secure in settings with little age consistent wear to both. Amazing vintage gemstone halo ring!
