MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of band is marked "14k ArtCarved" with a sideways "W". ArtCarved was a trademark for J.R. Wood & Sons Company. The J.R. Wood & Sons Company was founded by John R. Wood in 1850 in Brooklyn, NY. Their catalog dated 1919, describes the company as, "Diamond cutters, wedding ring makers and manufacturers of fine gold and platinum jewelry."

CONDITION - Good vintage condition. Yellow gold metal has been professionally polished & cleaned. Genuine amethyst is securely prong set. Age appropriate patina & wear remains / some light surface wear to stone. Amazing genuine amethyst ring!
