Special Edwardian era 18k yellow gold Mizpah band! This unique piece has repousse style letters along the top half of the band spelling out: "MIZPAH", with a high polish luster to the whole piece. Mizpah is a symbolic Hebrew word that means 'watchtower' and is loosely interpreted as 'May God watch over you'. This collectible ring band would be perfect as a wedding band, or stacked with other rings. A wonderful piece of fine symbolic circa 1900's jewelry, with so much meaning!

Mizpah is an ancient Hebrew word that means "watchtower" or "lookout". It comes from a biblical story in Genesis where Jacob and Laban made a covenant, saying, "The Lord watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another". Today, it symbolizes an emotional bond between people who are separated by distance or death.
CONDITION - Good antique condition. Yellow gold metal has been professionally polished & cleaned. Little to no age appropriate patina & wear remains. Amazing Edwardian era Mizpah band!
