Winged Wheel Brooch - Victorian Era 18k Yellow Gold Natural Blue Turquoise Gems - Antique Circa 1890s Baroque Pearl Speed & Progress Jewelry
Collectible antique circa 1890s Victorian era 18k yellow gold winged wheel brooch! This symbolic antique pin is a powerful, ancient symbol representing speed, motion, progress, and freedom, often signifying safe, swift travel. Originating from the wings of the Greek god Hermes, the winged wheel symbol is frequently used to represent transportation, engineering, automotive power or specialized, high-speed, and dangerous work, such as in motorcycle police units. The Victorian era lapel brooch features natural blue turquoise cabochon gemstones and two dramatic elongated baroque pearls. The brooch secures with a handmade 10k gold pin backing. A fantastic piece of fine antique jewelry, steeped in symbolism inspired by the Greek God, Hermes!
