MARKINGS / HISTORY - Back of pendant is vaguely marked "MADE IN ENGLAND T.M. & CO STERLING SILVER" for Thomas L. Mott. Butterfly wing jewelry's popularity soared in 1924 due to a feature at the British Empire Exhibition by the firm Thomas L. Mott. It remained very popular in England well into the 1930s and subsequently also became a trend in the U.S.

CONDITION - Good antique condition. Sterling silver metal has been professionally polished and cleaned. Clear cover is intact and butterfly wing has been overall preserved. Amazing antique butterfly necklace!
