METAL / MATERIAL - 10k white gold pendant, simulated sapphires (blue glass).

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Pin C-clasp is marked '10k OB' for Ostby and Barton. Ostby (Co-owner of company) was a first class passenger on the Titanic & was among one of the 1,500 passengers who perished during the tragic iceberg collision.The company was established 1879 in Providence, Rhode Island. At it's time, it was considered one of the leading producers of fine jewelry. The company ceased production in the 1950s. Ostby & Barton jewelry is highly desired by collectors of fine antique jewelry for its beautiful workmanship & historical significance.

CONDITION - Good to fair vintage condition. Brooch has been professionally cleaned and lightly polished. Very little appropriate patina wear remains. small break to center filigree at one end near pin hinge. Blue glass stones are secure in settings, age consistent wear present. Amazing antique brooch pin!
