This pretty vintage ring features a natural black chalcedony gemstone (commonly known as onyx), that is fancy cut, prong set from the back, and features a natural diamond in the center. The setting has classic open metal designs, with sweet floral and scroll motifs. A fantastic piece of fine Art Deco era jewelry, from the 1920s!

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of band is marked "14k" and has a "ESEMCO" makers mark for the Shiman Manufacturing Company of Newark, New Jersey. Founded in 1906, the brand's name is a phonetic spelling of the company’s initials (S-M Co.). They were well known for high-quality Art Deco and mid-century filigree pieces
CONDITION - Good antique condition. White gold metal has been professionally cleaned. Minimal age appropriate patina & wear remains. Onyx and diamond are securely set. Amazing vintage onyx & diamond ring!
