MARKINGS / HISTORY - Back of pendant is marked "STERLING" and #306, a serial registry number indicating Jensen's work.
Georg Jensen was a Danish silversmith who became a highly influential designer in the early 20th century, known for his blend of Art Nouveau and modernist styles. He started as a goldsmith and sculptor, opening his own workshop in Copenhagen in 1904, which quickly gained international fame for its high-quality, organic-inspired silverware and jewelry. After his death in 1935, the company continued under his name, expanding its offerings and maintaining the philosophy of combining functionality and beauty.
