Gorgeous vintage Art Deco Era 14k yellow gold created ruby ring, circa 1930s! This elegant vintage solitaire ring showcases a round vibrant red created ruby stone. The setting and shoulders are adorned with swirl and wheat etched design details, and the crown style gem setting has open metal details in the gallery. A timeless piece of fine signed jewelry, dating from fabulous '30s, by Ostby & Barton!

METAL / MATERIAL - 14k yellow gold, 1 created ruby (approx. 0.93 CT)

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of band is marked "OB 14k" along with a Maltese cross for Ostby & Barton. Ostby (Co-owner of Ostby & Barton) was a first class passenger on the Titanic & was among one of the 1,500 passengers who perished during the tragic iceberg collision. The company was established in 1879 in Providence, Rhode Island. At it's time, it was considered one of the leading producers of fine jewelry. The company ceased production in the 1950s. Ostby & Barton jewelry is highly desired by collectors of fine antique jewelry for its beautiful workmanship & historical significance.

CONDITION - Good to fair vintage condition. Piece has been professionally cleaned and lightly polished. Details and designs have been beautifully preserved. Very minimal age appropriate patina and wear remain. Prongs are thing but created ruby gemstone is secure. Amazing Ostby and Barton ring from the 1930s!
