Lovely vintage circa 1940s era gold filled locket! This beautiful dainty round locket is engraved with the initials "GCM" on the front and is unadorned on the back. The locket opens and closes securely and is ready for your personal photos or keepsakes to be put inside. The pendant hangs from a 16" gold filled chain that was added by us. A precious little locket, from the 1940s!

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of locket is marked "1/20 12KT.GF." and a makers mark for Binder Bros. Inc. a New York-based jewelry company active from roughly the 1920s to the 1950s, founded by German emigrants Elmer C. and Lawrence O. Binder. Known for high-quality, collectible vintage costume jewelry, they specialized in gold-filled and sterling silver floral brooches, bracelets, and pins.

CONDITION - Good vintage condition. Yellow gold metal has been professionally cleaned. Designs have been preserved with minimal age appropriate patina and wear. Lovely vintage locket!
