Rare and collectible antique Victorian era 22k yellow gold watch key fob spinner pendant! This spectacular charm hangs from a brand new 24 inch gold filled chain, that was added by us. The detailed fob was once an antique pocket watch winding key, which were common for the time period. The key spins out from a outlined gold bail, and contains a gorgeous natural red flecked carved bloodstone intaglio fob, that is mirrored on the opposite side with a flat top round agate. The carved antique bloodstone intaglio fob features the Latin quote, "quo jussa jovis", from Virgil's The Aeneid, which roughly translates to, "by the commands of God" meaning: to fulfill his destiny. The intaglio also features the carved crest depiction of a heraldic sea serpent above a crown. Truly a one of a kind piece of historical fine jewelry!

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Chain is marked "1/20 14K" and spinner fob metal professionally tested.

CONDITION - Good antique condition. Gold metal was professionally hand polished and cleaned. Some age appropriate patina / wear remains. Bloodstone and agate are both in nice shape and details have been nicely preserved. Incredible watch key fob!
