Often quoted to an engaged person, this rhyme dates back to the Victorian era. Rooted in English folklore, each item is meant to bring the couple good luck on their wedding day.
In modern western tradition, something old represents the continuing of family roots and a connection to the past. Something new, shows an optimism for the future. When something is borrowed, it represents the sharing of good fortune from a friend or loved one. As far as something blue, it was originally meant to ward off the “Evil Eye”, but now stands for love and fidelity.

What are you wearing?

When wearing a tux, or suit jacket, lapels are a perfect spot for brooches and stick pins. These allow you to show your style in a subtle or bold way!
Stick pins and cufflinks are traditional for a reason! They are classics that can stand the test of time and are a great way to show off your personality. Some fun ideas: Use a floral brooch as an alternative to a boutonniere. Have a sentimental piece you love, but it doesn’t match your personal style? Consider tying it to your bouquet or including it in your detail photos.
