Rare antique Victorian era 10k gold human hair bracelet! This stunning mourning style bracelet is comprised of intricately woven hair in multiple shades of brown, and a gold center locket compartment that contains more woven hair behind glass and an antique photo of a man. The front of the locket compartment depicts a village scene, and the backside of the locket on the inside of the bracelet is engraved with the letters "EM" in script. The bracelet secures with a box clasp and also has a safety chain with a long tear drop-shaped charm attached. Absolutely incredible piece of Victorian mourning jewelry from the 19th century!

MARKINGS / HISTORY - No markings. Mourning jewelry was popular in the Victorian era (1837 - 1901) as a remembrance token of a loved one that had passed, or as a token of affection between two lovers. This bracelet has two different colors of hair, which indicates that it may have been made from the hair of two people.
CONDITION - Good antique condition. Gold metal has been lightly polished. Age appropriate patina & wear remains. Locket and bracelet clasp both open and close securely. Hair has been preserved. Amazing Victorian hair bracelet!
