Unique vintage circa 1940s Retro era silver and turquoise bird pendant! This timeless statement brooch is a highly detailed figural bird form, with beautiful hand engraved feather details on the body, with the bird clasping a loose feather in it's beak. The large silver statement pendant has a secret compartment on the back of the bird's belly, which holds a perfume dipped piece of cloth. The gorgeous avian brooch is further detailed along the edges of it's wings with bead set natural turquoise cabochon gems. The bird also has natural cabochon garnet eyes. The vintage pendant has a hidden bail to accommodate a chain, or a swivel pin finding to wear on a sweater or jacket. A collectible piece of Mid Century Retro era jewelry, that is ready to be worn!
