Gorgeous vintage circa 1940s era sterling silver morpho butterfly wing pendant! This whimsical pendant features a teardrop shaped iridescent blue morpho butterfly wing, preserved under a clear lucite cover. Depicted on the blue wing is a tropical beach scene with a palm tree, flying birds and a setting sun. The vintage statement charm is shown modeled on a vintage sterling silver 22" chain. An incredible piece of signed vintage souvenir jewelry!

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Back of pendant is vaguely marked "HOFFMAN STERLING" for Frederick S. Hoffman Co was founded in the 1930s and based in New York.

CONDITION - Good vintage condition. Sterling silver metal has been professionally polished & cleaned. Butterfly wing has been preserved. Age appropriate patina & wear remains. Amazing vintage butterfly wing necklace!
