What started as two sisters with a shared love for vintage has grown into something beyond anything we could have imagined.

For more than 15 years, we've had the privilege of sourcing, studying, and preserving pre-loved pieces of jewelry, each with its own history and story to tell. Along the way, we've learned that the beauty of vintage jewelry goes far beyond the gemstones and precious metals. It's the craftsmanship, the history, and the connection to the people who treasured these pieces before us, and imagining who will treasure them next.

Writing Vintage Jewels has given us the opportunity to share so much of what we've learned and loved over the years. Within its pages, we explore the jewelry through the eras, offer insights into identifying and collecting vintage pieces, and celebrate the artistry that makes these treasures so special, with lots of gemological insight along the way.

One of the most exciting parts of creating this book has been the opportunity to showcase more than 150 pieces of vintage and antique jewelry, each beautifully photographed and thoughtfully researched. These treasures help bring the history and artistry of jewelry to life on the page, and we're especially excited to share that these pieces will be available for purchase through Maejean Vintage following the book's publication!

Above all, we want to thank our incredible community for believing in us and in the mission that has guided Maejean Vintage from the very beginning: that vintage jewelry is worth saving. Every piece we preserve is a little piece of history that gets to live on, rather than be lost to the melting pot.
