Lovely 1930s Art Deco era 14k white and yellow gold natural carnelian Virgo filigree ring! This incredible and rare die struck ring features a faceted carnelian that is prong set in the center and a lovely filigree gallery. The shoulders of the ring are decorated with a yellow gold plaque that features the Virgo maiden and the abbreviation for "August." A beautiful and unique Art Deco era ring, perfect for the August Virgo!

METAL / MATERIAL - 14k white and yellow gold, natural carnelian (approx. 15.1 x 7.1 mm)

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of shank is marked "14k" with a partially smoothed over "La France" for The La France Jewelry Co, which was based in Buffalo, New York and was founded over a century ago. (I was able to trace the company ads to 1899 in the Jeweler's Circular, but they may have been around even decades before).

CONDITION - Good vintage condition. Ring has been professionally polished and cleaned. Minimal age appropriate patina & wear remains. Carnelian is secure in setting. Amazing vintage carnelian ring!
