Classic vintage 14k yellow gold wedding band, circa 1950s! This timeless minimalist band contains a high polished finish and is free of external embellishments. It is a versatile mid century ring and would make a perfect wedding, stacking, or "just because" band. Lovingly inscribed piece of fine vintage jewelry, by J.R. Wood & Sons, circa 1940s!

METAL / MATERIAL - 14k yellow gold

MARKINGS / HISTORY - The inscription on the inside of the band appears to say "E.P. to G.B. 6-30-50" and is marked '14k W ArtCarved', which was a trademark for J.R. Wood & Sons Company. The J.R. Wood & Sons Company was founded by John R. Wood in 1850 in Brooklyn, NY. Their catalog dated 1919, describes the company as, "Diamond cutters, wedding ring makers and manufacturers of fine gold and platinum jewelry."

CONDITION - Very Good vintage condition. Light age consistent surface wear and patina remains to metal. A classic band which looks even better in person!

SIZE / MEASUREMENTS - Size: 4.5, Width: 2.45 mm, Thickness: 1.87 mm, Weight: 2.71 grams
