MARKINGS / HISTORY - Back of shank has a partially smoothed over marking. Ring was sourced in Miami, FL.

The three Greek muses are known for their inspiration in literature, art and the sciences. Ancient Roman scholar, Varro, believed one of the goddesses was born from water's movement (Melete or "Practice"), one who could make sound by striking air (Mneme or "Memory") and a third who was embodied in human voice (Aoide or "Song").

CONDITION - Fair vintage condition. Piece has been professionally polished and cleaned. Carved shell is secure with some nicks on the edge. Minimal age appropriate patina & wear remains. Amazing vintage cameo ring!
