MARKINGS / HISTORY - Back of pendant is marked "England Sterling PAT. Aug 1924".

Butterfly wing jewelry's popularity soared in 1924 due to a feature at the British Empire Exhibition by the firm Thomas L. Mott. It remained very popular in England well into the 1930s and subsequently also became a trend in the U.S.

CONDITION - Good antique condition. Sterling silver metal has been professionally polished & cleaned. Butterfly wing has been preserved. Age appropriate patina & wear remains. Amazing antique butterfly wing necklace!
