METAL / MATERIAL - 10k white gold, 1 created ruby (approx. 4.93 ct, 12.00 x 9.78 x 4.20 mm)

(Created gemstones are chemically the same as their natural counterparts, but are made in a lab by man. The process for creating colored gemstones was invented in the 1800s and these lab created gems were commercially available in jewelry beginning around the turn of the century.)

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of band is marked "10k PAT. NO 1862710" which is a 1932 patent for a more hollow construction for a signet-style ring.

CONDITION - Fair vintage condition. Ring has been professionally polished, cleaned, and rhodium plated. Minimal age consistent wear remains. Bezel and back of band are thin, so wear with extra care. A gorgeous piece of fine Art Deco era jewelry!
