This stunning and rare statement pendant, also a brooch with a functional pin, showcases a natural purple amethyst with a carved image of a butterfly or moth on the face of it. The gem is prong-set in an intricate setting with an ornate gold halo. A lovely Victorian era pendant!

MARKINGS / HISTORY - No markings, but piece has been professionally tested.

CONDITION - Good antique condition. Yellow gold metal has been professionally cleaned. Age appropriate patina & wear remains. Amethyst likely used to have a gold inlay that has worn off. Our jeweler added a new bail. Beautiful Victorian era pendant!
