Fabulous vintage estate 18k yellow gold amethyst cabochon ring! This stunning statement ring features a large oval cabochon amethyst that is bezel-set in a substantial 18k gold setting. The inside of the band contains Egyptian hallmarks! Gorgeous cocktail ring, featuring the February birthstone!

METAL / MATERIAL - 18k yellow gold, natural amethyst (setting prevents us from determining carat weight)

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of shank has faded Egyptian hallmarks for what appear to be the symbol for 18k, the seagull/ibis symbol for Egyptian gold, and an Arabic date letter that is difficult to read. Because the letter is in Arabic, we know the ring was made after the 1940s. It appears to possibly be the letter corresponding to the year 1982.

CONDITION - Good condition. Ring has been professionally cleaned. Minimal age appropriate patina & wear remains. Natural amethyst is secure. Amazing Egyptian amethyst ring!
