MARKINGS / HISTORY - Back of brooch is marked "CS*FS 9" for Saunders Sheperd & Co. Ltd., founded in London, England in 1869 by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders Sr. and James Francis Hollings Shepherd at 23 Bartlett’s Buildings in Holborn Circus.

CONDITION - Good antique condition. Yellow gold metal has been professionally cleaned. Minimal age appropriate patina & wear remains. Some very light wear under one wing. Amazing antique brooch!
