Pretty vintage 12k yellow gold filled simulated ruby bracelet, circa 1940s! The bracelet contains four simulated ruby stones which are all securely bezel set. Separating each stone are Herakles knots with a twisted rope design. The Herakles, or Hercules, knot was a popular amulet motif dating from the Hellenistic period that symbolizes protection and good luck. The symbol reoccurs in popularity throughout time, and can even be found in modern jewelry. The bracelet secures with a spring ring closure. Beautiful piece of jewelry, circa 1940s!
