Gorgeous vintage 1930s Art Deco era sterling silver morpho butterfly wing pendant! This whimsical pendant features a teardrop shaped iridescent blue morpho butterfly wing, preserved under a clear cover. Depicted on the blue wing is a tropical beach scene with palm trees, houses, and a man on a boat. The vintage statement charm has a pretty twisted border, and is shown modeled on a brand new 20 inch sterling silver chain that was added by us. An incredible piece of Art Deco era jewelry!

METAL / MATERIAL - Sterling silver pendant, sterling silver chain, morpho butterfly wing, reverse painted clear cabochon cover.

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Chain clasp is marked '925' and back of pendant is marked 'Made In England Silver Rhodium'

CONDITION - Good / fair vintage condition. Sterling silver metal has been professionally polished & cleaned. Butterfly wing has been preserved. Clear cabochon cover has some surface wear consistent with age and slightly curves out of bezel at top. Age appropriate patina & wear remains to metal. Amazing vintage butterfly wing necklace!
