Love Token Charm - Victorian Sterling Silver Engraved Coin Pendant Necklace - Antique Dated 1873 Letters "EET" Personalized Initials Jewelry

Collectible antique dated 1873 Victorian era sterling silver love token charm! This historical pendant is a Victorian era coin that is engraved with what appears to be the letters "EET", but it is open to interpretation! The backside of the coin reads "United States of America" with the date "1873", and the piece is shown modeled on a brand new sterling silver 18" chain. A fantastic piece of antique Victorian era jewelry!

Love tokens were often given amongst those courting, dating or married for special occasions or before one of the partners would leave on a long trip (war, jobs, etc). In the US, love tokens could be designed at fairs and carnivals, where jewelers would engrave a lover's name into a small coin. When the owner missed their other half they would rub the coin to ease their longing.
