A classic vintage 14k yellow & white gold diamond engagement ring with a connected matching wedding band, circa 1940s! The solitaire engagement ring boasts a transitional cut diamond, set in a square illusion head. The two tone original set is securely soldered together. A beautiful wedding set, from the fabulous '40s!

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of band marked 14k along with the maker's mark Artcarved for JR Wood
J.R. Wood & Sons Company. The J.R. Wood & Sons Company was founded by John R. Wood in 1850 in Brooklyn, NY. Their catalog dated 1919, describes the company as, "Diamond cutters, wedding ring makers and manufacturers of fine gold and platinum jewelry."

CONDITION - Good vintage condition. Diamond is secure in setting. Bands are soldered together and do not come apart. Designs have been well preserved. Very little age consistent wear. A lovely vintage diamond ring set!
