MARKINGS / HISTORY - Swivel clip is vaguely marked "D&C" for Dieges & Clust. Business was formed by two jewelers by the names of Charles Dieges and Prosper Clust from Providence, Rhode Island. The firm was founded in the late 1800s and sold to Herff Jones in 1980.
CONDITION - Fair antique condition. Gold filled metal has been professionally polished and cleaned. Age appropriate patina & wear remains. Simulated opal is secure. Amazing antique lorgnette chain!
