Pretty vintage circa 1940s era 10k yellow gold genuine onyx caduceus ring! This statement ring features a rectangular cut black onyx gemstone that is bezel-set and set with a silver plaque in the form of the caduceus symbol. The symbol is steeped in Greek mythology and depicts the Greek god Hermes' winged staff that is entwined with two serpents. The shoulders of the ring have classic rippled designs. A beautiful piece of fine vintage jewelry featuring a unique symbolic plaque!

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of band is very vaguely marked "ROMANY 10k" This mark is for Stern & Stern of New York, founded in the 1920s.

CONDITION - Good vintage condition. Metal has been hand polished & cleaned. Minimal age appropriate patina & wear remains. Genuine onyx is secure. Amazing vintage ring!
