Beautiful vintage Victorian-style 9k yellow gold belt buckle ring! This lovely unisex ring features a Victorian Era style figural belt buckle motif, high polished to a gorgeous gold sheen. The inside of the band is hallmarked for London, England, and the year 1965. A fantastic Victorian-inspired estate buckle ring, that would make the perfect wedding band!

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Inside of band is hallmarked for 9ct gold, London, England, 375 purity, and the year 1965. There is a W.W.Ld maker's mark for William Wilkinson Ltd, a renowned London-based jewelry manufacturer established in 1830. Known for high-quality wedding bands, particularly in 22ct gold and platinum, the firm was located on Skinner Street & Clerkenwell Road and was active throughout the late 19th and 20th centuries.

Antique belt buckle motifs were a popular design in Victorian - Edwardian Era jewelry. The belt buckle motif was often a sentiment of love representing eternity (eternal loop of belt) and also stood for strength & loyalty. This ring appears to be inspired by Victorian-era buckle rings.

CONDITION - Very good condition. Ring has been professionally cleaned and polished. Little to no age consistent wear and patina remain. Amazing gold belt buckle ring!
