Unique antique Edwardian Era sterling silver and rose gold shield medal fob! This lovely piece is double sided and is engraved with beautiful designs and detailed with open metal work. The rose gold plaque is beautifully hand engraved with the initials "CJ", and the opposite side silver plaque is engraved "WINNERS M.C.C. 1911". This engraving is likely for Winners Motor Cycle Club. Motorcycle clubs became popular in the early 1900s, and it was common for members to have custom items like fobs or medals to display their affiliation. This unique pendant is displayed on a sterling silver 18" cable link chain. A gorgeous piece of historical antique jewelry, made in Birmingham, England in 1910, and personalized in 1911!

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Fully hallmarked for Birmingham, England, circa 1910, with an "F&S" maker's mark for Fattorini and Sons, which began in 1827 with Italian immigrant Antonio Fattorini, who established the business in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. The company expanded its retail presence to Harrogate and Bradford, and by the 1880s, had become a successful manufacturer of jewelry, silverware, and other items like the world's first chess clock. The company has since split into various branches that continue to operate today, with some remaining family-owned.

CONDITION - Good antique condition. Sterling silver metal has been professionally polished & cleaned. Very little age appropriate patina & wear remains. Designs are well preserved. Amazing antique piece!
