Silver Canadian Artillery Locket - Antique Sterling Engraved "AD" Enamel Emblem Pendant Necklace - Edwardian Keepsake Signed Birks Jewelry

Timeless antique circa 1910s Edwardian era sterling silver locket! This antique statement locket has an oval shape, that features a blue enamel emblem seal for The Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery with Latin quote, "ubique quo fas et gloria ducunt", which translates to, "everywhere, whither right and glory lead." There are also unique engraved floral designs and is hand engraved with initials "AD" on the back. The inside of the pendant features original inserts, and is shown modeled on a 18" fancy link antique sterling silver chain. A fantastic monogrammed military keepsake from Canadian jeweler Maison Birks!

MARKINGS / HISTORY - Back of locket is marked "STERLING BIRKS" for Birks sterling silver lockets, reflecting a legacy of fine Canadian craftsmanship dating back to Henry Birks' first Montreal boutique in 1879. Known for high-quality, elegant designs, these vintage pieces—often dating from the early 20th century—were prized as cherished, romantic, and commemorative personal items.

CONDITION - Very good antique condition. Sterling silver metal has been professionally polished & cleaned. Little age appropriate patina & wear remains. Original inserts are preserved; locket closes as it should. Amazing antique photo locket!
