Gorgeous antique circa 1900s Edwardian era gold filled rhinestone star & moon locket! This stunning locket features an incised star and crescent moon motif on the front, that is encrusted with rhinestones. The backside of the locket is monogrammed with what appears to be the initials "EMD", but it is open to interpretation. Locket is shown modeled on a new 14k gold filled 20" chain. A magical piece of Edwardian era jewelry, featuring a symbolic crescent moon and star motif!

Crescent moons in Victorian jewelry often represented spirituality and the glorification of the Feminine Moon Goddess. The stars were symbols of direction, and guidance for the spirit.
