Welcome to Brimfield, Massachusetts! When entering this scenic rural destination you will be captivated by its small-town charm. Three times a year Brimfield holds one of the U.S.'s largest & longest running outdoor antique markets.
We attended the September Brimfield, Massachusetts 2015 Antique Show and are so excited to share some of our antiquing adventures from the show! 💍
My sister and I spent five days perusing vintage treasures, with the main objective of sourcing inventory for our antique jewelry shop Maejean Vintage.
Our objective was achieved! We came home with tons of special pieces, many with deep & touching histories. We are still currently in the process of sorting, cleaning, & photographing many of our finds.
We have started adding many of the above photographed rings to our shop. Several are antique stick pin conversion rings we picked up from our out-of-state jeweler who sets up for the show. Some of the gems featured in the rings are: amethyst, aquamarine, black onyx, blue zircon, carnelian, citrine, created ruby, diamond, labradorite, moonstone, opal, pearl, & turquoise.
A trio of three antique rings we acquired from the Brimfield show, all boasting gorgeous green gems! As of now, all three are available in our Etsy shop and are re-sizable within reason by your local jeweler or ours.
1) Antique 9k rose gold simulated chrysoprase green glass filigree ring 2) Antique Edwardian 10k yellow gold moss agate stick pin conversion ring 3) Antique Edwardian Art Nouveau 10k rose gold green turquoise ring
They say good things come in threes! Another vintage trio, this time of bracelets! All of these are also available in our Etsy shop... at least for now!
1) Vintage 10k yellow gold filled hinged black enamel flower hinged bangle 2) Vintage sterling silver & stainless expansion cross locket bracelet 3) Antique rose gold filled Victorian Era bypass bracelet
A few more newly acquired treasures! How sweet is the photographic heart pendant of the father & daughter? We also adore the bird & crescent moon motif pins!
We purchased the above amazing old stock photo pendants from a sweet couple who flew in from Germany. The jewelry store they originally came from in Bavaria was bombed during WWII and these special pieces never made it out to their intended owners. Amazingly, they have been well preserved over the years and we hope to find each and every one of them loving homes where they can be cherished for a lifetime!
My sister playing "dress up" with a remarkable diamond & emerald bracelet, inspecting a ring, and viewing one of our favorite dealer's offerings. (Unfortunately, we did not purchase that diamond bracelet...)
Talk about some impressive wood furniture with figural carvings! Although we were specifically looking for jewelry, plenty of other precious antique pieces stood out to us, such as the two pieces depicted above! Many fellow antique buyers brought along push carts to carry around larger items. There are also convenient porter services and onsite shipping services.
There are such beautiful lakes in Massachusetts; so picturesque & tranquil!
I hope you enjoyed this post. We'll be busy adding "new" antique jewels from our Brimfield trip to the shop virtually daily, so please feel free to stop by our Etsy shop to check out our newest postings!
