NYC Pier Antique Show

We just got back from a weekend buying trip in NYC! It was our first year attending the prominent New York City Pier Antique Show, which features over 400 vendors specializing in antique jewelry, furniture, and art.

The show is certainly not your average flea market- dealers and buyers come from all over the globe to attend this event. We saw some seriously jaw-dropping, museum quality, and rare, one-of-a-kind pieces. We honestly felt like we were experiencing visual over load amongst all the sparkling treasures!

The show costs $20 to attend which covers admission for both Saturday and Sunday. We were pretty happy to find out students get in for free- woohoo GIA!

The vendors had gorgeous and well thought-out displays. This case contained mostly Victorian-era jewelry pieces.

GOLD! We loved the aquamarines in this showcase.

Admittedly, we went through our cash pretty fast! There were too many gorgeous pieces we could not pass up on. We will share some photos of the pieces we brought home with us below. Most will be listed in our shop within the next several weeks, but please feel free to email us with interest in specific pieces.

These two stick pins are headed to our jeweler to be converted into rings. We think the diamond cluster one will make an amazing engagement ring...

Of course we couldn't leave the show with out picking up a few filigree aquamarine rings!

Laura and I may not agree on everything (we are sisters after all!) but nothing brings us closer and is more enjoyable than hand selecting vintage and antiques pieces for the business we have built together. People are always commenting on how well we work together & how similar our tastes are. I have to say, we make a pretty solid team!

Certainly an amazing weekend of networking, buying, and fun! See you soon New York City! (The next NYC Antique Pier Show is scheduled for November 14-15, 2015)
